This is a complete transformation of 1970’s apartment into a fresh, modern space with some slight Nordic touches. Despite the age of the building, a noteworthy element of the existing architecture were the large sliding window panels of the living room that hid behind the fireplace. This allows a great amount of sunlight to enter the main living spaces as well as blurs the line between interior and exterior areas.

Another noteworthy element of this apartments was its surroundings. Large trees of the neighborhood form a natural barrier between the interior and the surrounding buildings attributing a very private sense to the user. One of the main focuses of the renovation was to enhance the natural light penetrating the spaces by using light colored surfaces on all materials involved. In fact, the entire color palette of the materials used was selected in order to provide a sense of tranquility to the user. White surfaces blend with natural wood elements with a few strokes of natural Greek stones.
